Conveyancer positions - Residential conveyancing departments - Huntingdon and St Ives offices

We currently have vacancies in our residential conveyancing department at both our Huntingdon and St Ives offices. The firm welcomes applications from ambitious Solicitors, CILEx or CLC.


This role involves but is not limited to:

  • Receiving instructions and providing legal advice to clients on purchase, sales, re-mortgage, and transfer of equity matters
  • ID requirements, source of funds, gift deposits, risk assessments
  • Issuing contracts
  • Mortgage redemptions
  • Exchange of contracts
  • Ordering and reporting on searches
  • Checking and reporting of titles (including leases and raising associated enquiries)
  • Checking and reporting on mortgages
  • Checking and reporting on management packs
  • New build and second-hand transactions
  • Unregistered land
  • Dealing with completion process

The successful candidates will be organised, hardworking, able to work independently and to tight deadlines. They must have residential conveyancing experience which includes full responsibility for handling all aspects of their own caseload.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Wills Probate & Trusts - Vacancy at St Ives Office

Copleys Solicitors are looking for a Wills, Probate, Trusts Solicitor or CiLEX to join our busy Private Client department.
We are located at Red House, 10 Market Hill, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 5AW, from where we have offered a range of legal services for over 50 years. We have a well-established client base both locally and in the surrounding areas offering a personal service to our clients.

We have a considerable Wills, Probate and Trust case load and are looking for a practitioner with experience to deal with Wills, Probate, Trusts, Powers of Attorney. This work is currently primarily carried out by our Head of Department and a senior assistant both of whom have considerable experience. We are looking to add to this team.

The successful applicant ideally able to conduct matters from start to finish, including the preparation of estate accounts. We are a small and friendly firm and practitioners are encouraged to consult and discuss with their colleagues.

Salary commensurate with experience.
